SUSTAINABLE PERFORMANCE

At TUUMA, we believe in a more conscious way of running—one where you don’t have to feel uneasy about the materials in your gear or the conditions in which it was made.

Running pushes our bodies—but it shouldn’t push the planet to its limits. We’re here to change that.

Our mission is simple: create high-performance running gear that’s just as strong on sustainability. No need to choose between the two. Just better gear for a better running experience. No compromise.

Every product we design at TUUMA reflects that promise : maximizing performance whilst minimizing our impact.

Discover our commitments below.

  • It all begins with an idea. Often, a product we found in our sports closet.

Usually good, but we want to do better , more confortable and even more convenient. A piece where there’s simply no compromise.

This process is done in our office based in Brussels. We then send the patterns and specificities to our Portuguese manufacturer.

    That’s when production starts

  • We work closely with our manufacturing partner to select high-performance fabrics with the highest possible percentage of recycled or bio-based materials, and offcuts helping us reduce our carbon footprint.

Our fabrics are sourced from Italy — a country renowned for its durable, premium-quality textiles. Production takes place under ethical working conditions, and we make it a point to visit the factory at least once a year to ensure everything aligns with our values.

Through careful attention to seams and cuts designed to last, we go through multiple rounds of prototyping to create pieces that not only meet our standards but, more importantly, match yours — so you’ll be proud to wear them during even your most demanding training sessions.

  • From our manufacturer to our office, every item is carefully packed in recycled poly bags to protect your gear while keeping waste to a minimum.

When it comes to shipping, we prioritize sustainability — your orders are sent in recycled paper boxes, and we often reuse older packaging to reduce waste even further.

We choose ground transportation over air to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. That might mean your package takes a little longer to arrive, but we believe it’s a small trade-off for running gear made to go the distance — and stay with you for the long run.
